I've just finished watching the two first chapters of The Code Room. For those who didn't know, it is a kind of documentary sponsored by Microsoft that shows a group of developers trying to finish a .NET project before a defined deadline. In 1/2 hour they have to apply a set of new technologies just previously learned

 

Of course this is not real life (well, though I could mention a couple of times in my life that could have resembled one of the videos), but anyway the show is quite amusing. It has been "professionally produced and directed", and the result is a good TV show, which could be and edition of "The weakest link" or "Sis a traïció".

 

The first (and pilot) chapter includes three developers who must complete a set of functionalities for an e-Commerce website before they run out of battery. This show is guided by Russ Fustino, and the necessary technologies are presented through a MSDN Developer Event.

 

If you'd like to watch them, you have the links to the streaming media in this page on The Code Room's website. However, you'd better download chapter 1 and chapter 2 of the series and watch it offline. Or, if you are not sure you want to spend 1 hour of your life watching something that does not interest you, you can just watch the pilot's trailer (just 30 secs).
